Maureen A. Summers is a native San Diegan who has practiced law in San Diego since 1984. Her 23
years of litigation experience have provided her with insight into a variety of legal issues including
personal injury and wrongful death, property loss, commercial, employment and insurance matters.
Since 1995, Ms. Summers has successfully mediated more than 2450 matters that were pending in
San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, Imperial, Riverside and Alameda Counties. She has also mediated
matters pending in the states of Arizona, Texas, Florida and Utah.
Ms. Summers has lectured on various mediation topics at California Western School of Law and
Thomas Jefferson School of Law. She has been a panelist for training and CEB seminars for the
National Conflict Resolution Center, as well as the San Diego County Bar Association.
She received her J.D. from the University of California at Davis in 1984, and her B.A. from San Diego
State University in 1979.
